Guest guest
Hi. Wow...it sounds like you've got a lot on your plate. Some would recommend trying various diet intervention (we're currently gfcf with some other " frees " ... and I know there is SCD). There is also chelation (which is sounds like your son might benefit from... removing the toxic metals from the body... we chelate too). There are also enzymes, and any other kinds of supplements to try. You may want to do some reading.. Jaqueline McCandless, Karyn Seroussi, and there was another lady who wrote a book on enzymes (can't remember the name... I'm sure someone here could supply it.) Also, Dana has a great site with lots of info and links. I think it's www.danasview.com (but don't quote me on that). Good luck... I hope you're able to find something to help your son. Michele <menty3@...> wrote:Hi, I have couple questions, if you don't mind. Let me give you some quick info on my son. Tyler just turned 4. He's weights 30lbs and can not chew food yet. I have to put all his food in a blender for him. He drinks about 5-6 can of Pedisure a day. He is also behind in a lot of of things. He is on Luvox for his OCD, that he has really bad. After is MMR shot, he was sick for 3 days, with a fever of a 103. He was 4 weeks early weighting only 3lbs. He has alot of sensory issues too. My questions are: I read that you should give Vitamin B complex, Vitamin C, and Milk Thistle extract: 4 times a day. How much should I give to him. He gets all of that, but the Milk Thistle, in his Pedisure and I don't want to over dose him. Any advise for this would be helpful to me. He's in theraphy, but I'm not seeing the results that I would like to see. I do give him Colostrum Plus Probiotics for Children, and he hasn't has any yeast flair up since. He also get espon baths every other day. Sorry so long, I just want to do this right and do it soon. Thank you for any help, Michele =======================================================

My doctor advises against using Milk thistle every day. We also supplement taurine and glycine for liver support. Guest guest
I don't understand it exactly, but she says milk thistle helps to one liver phase more than another one and you can cause too much imbalance between phases by using it too much - something like that Margaret > >> My questions are: I read that you should give Vitamin B complex, > > Vitamin C, and Milk Thistle extract: 4 times a day. Guest guest
Michele, I would suggest looking into the gfcf diet and see if you think it might benefit your son. Are you getting OT for his food issues? I understand where you're coming from, Allie still struggles to eat more than a handful of foods, she was nothing but chips and fries for six months. Allie also takes Paxil that significantly reduces her OCD/anxiety issues. If he does have leaky gut, he might not be absorbing the vit/min from the Pediasure because of the dairy aspect. Does he have diarrhea/constipation? However, if he doesn't have leaky gut, he's probably absorbing more. I don't know about the milk thistle issue, I try to give it to Allie often, but she doesn't get it every day when we are not chelating. Allie's speech path said to make sure the OT is educated in mouth related sensory integration. (Allie is 4 1/2 yrs old, 36lbs) Sometimes a speech path knows more. One thing that helped Allie was to have her feel a particular food. Then, after a few weeks of the defensiveness decreasing we began to have her put it to her chin, then lips, then kiss it, then lick it, then bite it. Each step took several weeks. She still isn't too keen on it here at home, but, hey, it's progress!
