Guest guest
After 2 weeks on B6 my son developed loose stools. At first these seemed to be detox but they've changed to just being very loose & watery. Only once a day. I suspect he has a problem with yeast, and I've read the B vits can cause problems in yeast sensitive people, so I am looking for a B6 without yeast for him. The one I got is " no added yeast " but I understand it was probably sourced from yeast. The night before last he had a yeasty-looking rash. I left him naked most of today & it is almost completely gone. I gave him a dairy-free probiotic tonight. I gave him the probiotic at 7, with the B6 & his other vitamins. At 11:30 he had a BM that was not at all watery. It was still very soft but it is by far the most normal stool he's had in over a week. Could the probiotic possibly have affected him so quickly??? Or was this just coincidence? Maybe the stools aren't from the B6 after all? Confused, -Sara. p.s. the benefits of the B6 have been such that I am not willing to discontinue it. They far outweigh having one loose BM daily, especially if we can treat that through other means such as changing brands & adding other supplements. I had planned to treat him for yeast anyway but was wanting to establish the B6 & it's benefits for him first, before trying something else new. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. So far as I have read, B6 can *feed* yeast. I don't know if the problem is that it would be sourced from yeast, or contain yeast. > Could the probiotic possibly have affected him so quickly??? Guest guest
They work that quickly on . I would keep on with the probiotic and see if things continue to improve. Like you, I wouldn't want to give up the B6, especially when you see great results from it. a >>>>Could the probiotic possibly have affected him so quickly???<<<< ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Guest guest
Wow, I had no idea it would make that kind of difference that fast. Amazing. I guess yeast is the culprit then & I will thoroughly dose him up on the probiotic. He is already grain and dairy free. His carb sources are potatoes and fruit, and he does not eat tons of them. His diet is pretty limited & I hesitate to limit it more, but I am reading about phenols and most of the fruits & vegs he eats are high......one thing at a time I guess, if we get good results with the probiotic......? Thanks very much for the replies. -Sara.
