I don't know what part of Canada you're in but uterine fibroid embolization has been done in Ontario since 1998 when a large multicentre clinical trial was established with several Ontario teaching hospitals participating. I had embo in Feb 2001in Toronto and have had good results. It's my impression that embo has been done in at least some of other provinces for more than 6 months. Glad your UFE procedure went well! I had a myo just in September Shona > My gyn also said that they still don't do > myos in Canada so it still wasn't an option even though I had been > thinking of that as well.
