Guest guest
Sue, I'm so glad to hear you're OK!!! My first thought is to go to second hand book stores for books, they're usually cheap there. Also, check for used/second hand clothing stores, and check Goodwill. They sometimes have some really nice stuff for very little money! Good for you for taking care of yourself! You're in my thoughts and prayers. Guest guest
Hi Sue -- I am so glad to hear that you are okay. It must have been a very painful decision to leave (even tho he sounds like a !#!#) - it just shows that you have a great strength inside of yourself. I wish you all the best and if there is anything I can do, please let me know. Love, Patti Return of Sukoz but as RIAUSSIEJAKE HI all, Sorry I Have been gone so long. Here is the story of my adventure. On about the 5th of December my husband started drinking and stealing my oxycontin and other pain meds. One night I was trying to lock myself and the dogs the guest room and he injured the foot I recently had fused and I could no longer put weight on it. I am still not sure what is wrong with it. I am also dealing with my old port incision which opened up and smells awful. The new site looks fine. Anyway, a week before Christmas he continued to decline. Depression, sleeping in a bed fill of feces and urine. I was scheduled for surgery but he wouldn't get sober to take me and of course his family won't help because it is my fault he drinks. Don't even ask about that one! So I packed a couple pairs of clothes (hardly anything at all) put the three dogs in the car and headed for Pa. On the next day there was to be a family meeting on where to place my Mom after her stroke. SO I stuck around helping to find placement and through the holidays. I am now in Cumberland, RI. which is right outside of Providence. I have some friends there one of which is disabled and they told be I could stay here as long as I like...even forever. I will pay some rent but need to find assistance since my only income is $505 a month for SSD. I want to get a divorce but most places I called said they would only help if children were involved. Anyone have any ideas? I Need money because I will have to pay for my own health insurance a Medicare upgrade. The sad part was I realized in PA I physical could no longer take care of my two golden retreivers....my babies. I realized if I truly loved them I would turn them over to Golden retriever rescue where they will have forever families and not be scared ever again. I still have my little Jake a mini Australian shephard.SO that is where I am now. Next week I am set up with a PCP as well as an infectious disease specialist who hopefully will get me in to an ortho pretty fast. I have talked to my husband a few times since I left. He continues to be depressed and drunk. My friends took me out to dinner last night then we watched a movie and I said I felt like I was on vacation and they said no this is how life should be. If anyone wants to send me their email or forward this to someone who used to be on the list I would appreciate it because I lost all of my email adress book info. But I'm free! If anyone knows of any charities that can help me get things I need (money, food, clothes, I need some books but until I get the divorce straighted out I can't get a library card due to the car being registered in both our names. Especially if I end up in the hospital I will need books and video games to pass the time but they all had to be left behind so I could fit the dogs in. I am also looking for a reasonably priced pet store to buy supplies for Jake. So I will take any suggestions. Oh, and please don't forget to send me you names and emails so I can reestablish my address book and don't forget to send this to others who may know me but left the list. I love you guys and have missed you more then you can imagine. Sue K and Jake
