Guest guest
Debbie Do you know whether the Natrol Skin Hair and Nails formula has iodine in it? I don't mean the actual listing along with the vitamins, I mean any form of iodine in the fillers that I'm not recognizing. I've been taking this one for quite some time now, one thing because it does come in capsule form and SEEMS agreeable, but something is sure making my hands ache. I'm just wondering if it's hidden in some of these things, going by another name. Anyone Use Iodoral? > > I really wouldn't take this if you have Hashi's. I also read today on this board that you shouldn't take it if you're Hypo at all. I think a lot of Holistic Doctors like to give you iodine because the thyroid hormones are derived from iodine, so it does kind of make sense. I feel that it makes the antiboidies go crazy, and mine are crazy enough thank you! I honestly thought I had Rheumatoid Arthritis when I toolk supplements with iodine in them. The joints in my hands and writsts ached like a toothache! And as soon as I stopped those supplements, so did the joint problems. Maybe the Doctor doesn't have antibodies so it doesn't bother him. I don't know, but I sure as heck wouldn't go looking for trouble. I think it was Caroline I told about the SeaSilver, it's packed with iodine. I check every supplement bottle I buy, they even make multivitamins with no iron or IODINE so there must be a lot of us out there! I just really wouldn't risk it if I were you, I wouldn't wi! > sh that kind of pain on anyone. If you're on really good terms with your Doctor, maybe you could do some research and show it to him. I'm sure he wouldn't want to intentionally harm his patients, he sounds like a great Doctor otherwise. > > Debbie
Guest guest
One major thought here now is that if it repairs the thyroid, how come HIS isn't repaired. He does take Armour, so in what way is his repaired? That's crazy on acct of Hashi's causes massive permanent destruction of the gland, and you can't create something out of nothing. It's not temporarily out of commission, it's destroyed in it's tissues, so there isn't any repairing it with Hashimoto's. If it's caught early enough, sometimes some of the destruction can be staved off, but then sometimes it can't, and that's only with natural thyroid, as far as I'm concerned.
