Guest guest
Wow, I can really relate to the wide feet thing - mine are like size E's. Guest guest
Right on Sue! I'm with you! I don't wear shoes unless I have to. I would rather buy a handbag than a pair of shoes. Guest guest
Hi Sue; I echo what you say about wearing shoes. I also, have walked barefoot around the house all my life, and almost always go barefoot(or wear my Tevas) when I am out in the yard gardening, I, also, exercise to Austin in my bare feet. I, too, have never injured my feet, and wear soft shoes riding my stationary bike always. When, I go out in public, of course, I wear shoes, and have a nice selection of shoes to fit the occasion. But, all my friends know me and my interest in touching the good earth with my bare feet. By the time, summer really hits, the soles of my feet are very tough, so I can go barefoot on the concrete , and on the street, without any discomfort, and I think I have a set of good looking feet for my age( I am 67). I get kidded all the time, but it doesn't faze me, as the ones who are kidding me are always going to the foot doctor, etc, or complaining about their heels, or a toe hurting or something. I think there is a good case for walking barefoot, and exercising barefoot, and giving feet a chance to breathe. Pat from K.C. Guest guest
If you can exercise etc without wearing shoes then more power to you! I'm off to the podiatrist tonight to get him to check out my dicky ankles/feet. My feet have been going numb and my calf/shin muscles cramping (even after stopping to give them a really good stretch) as soon as I hit the incline button on the treadmill. Fingers crossed it's nothing too bad! Guest guest
Hope the appointment goes well, Bel. Actually, I worry more about my ankles than my feet. Guest guest
Sue, my dad wears an EE width shoe. I wore an E as a small child (and I was little) but I only have a medium frame. My husband has always referred to my feet as " elephant feet! " It used to hurt my feelings, but now I laugh because I am not defined by my feet. They get me where I'm going! My mother wore an A.....she had extremely narrow feet and great difficulty finding shoes that fit. Go figure...you'd think I would have wound up with a C between the two parents, but NOOOOO! lol For years and years, my dad would order his shoes from the Mason catalog. He still does occasionally, but now he is able to get some New Balance shoes. Personally, I've never found a pair of NB that fit; and I won't order from a catalog in case they don't fit. I have a pair of Nikes now that fit better than anything I've worn in a long time. I need to move out of the boonies and somewhere that has selection. I was hoping that as I lost weight, my feet would shrink....nope! They're still the same. The only thing different is my ankles don't swell. Sigh...there are many worse things, so I shant complain any further! Lyn, Imelda Marcos wannabee lol
Guest guest
I find that a pair of New Balance men's wide fits me well. And easier to get than women's sneaks in my size. I've given up on " pretty shoes " . **sigh** hugs, Sue Re: Re:foot problems from bare foot cardio? > Sue, my dad wears an EE width shoe.
