Hi, JoAnn,

Has the bar been adjusted in width since he got it?

Often parents will find their baby inexplicably start to fuss with

the brace, and have wakeful nights.. after having been fine before,

and it turns out that the bar just needs adjusting, to catch up with

growth. A too narrow bar is uncomfortable.

It might only take a tiny adjustment wider to make him comfortable

again. You probably know that the heels should be shoulder width

apart. Do you have the red two piece bar? You use an allen wrench to

open the black clamps and slide the bar apart. Or of course the

orthotist at your doctors' could do it.

Or, another possibility.. Maybe the shoes are getting too small?

Good luck! let us know what you find out..

and Claire

Thanks for the suggestion and Claire. We do have the red two piece bar.

The width has not been adjusted since it was first put on 12/30/03. He has

grown quite a bit since that time. I am going to look at it closer tomorrow. He

just quieted down. Took about a half hour tonight.

is he getting tangled in the covers? Is the bar too short? (heels should

be shoulder width apart - just hold them up to his shoulders to check)
