Guest guest
Hi Everyone. After reading all your posts to my previous message, I felt much more comfortable with Ethan having a second tenotomy. Thank You! I just wanted to make sure he was getting the best possible treatment so I emailed Dr. Ponseti too. I sent him every conceivable angle of Ethan's feet and he agrees that the right foot is not fully corrected and would benefit from the tenotomy again. He also feels that Ethan would benefit from the sandals since his feet are so short and chubby! So anyway, I feel much less anxious about it and the tenotomy is scheduled for noon today. Dr. Showalter always does them at lunch or at the end of the day so that he can stay with baby as long as possible, which is nice. So to all of you whose child had a second tenotomy, after the casts come off, did you have to do the DBB 23/7 for 3 months again, or just pick up where you left off? Ethan was in his for 6 weeks and we were really looking forward to reducing the time. But of course, we will do whatever is recommended by the doctor. Thanks again!!
