Guest guest
Wild Yam progesterone creams can cause abdominal bloating (abdomen like a drum, not necessarily intestinal gas) in some people, resolves slowly over time (even several weeks or months) after ending progesterone cream. The non-micronized rx progesterones can cause intestinal side effects in some people, like excess gas, sometimes extreme. Prometrium is a rx micronized progesterone that can likely be tolerated by persons with reactions to OTC progesterone creams. I had this for a few yrs during meno and it worked very well. Thyroid women can have more intense meno symptoms, and sometimes the more natural but sophisticated meds such as Estrace and Prometrium for a short time at the minimum effective amounts can be helpful. But I wouldn't take unless absolutely necessary, for devastating and disabling meno symptoms. My own experience as a thyroid PT with Vitex herb (chaste berry) was also extremely deranging, and this herb is mentioned glibly all over the internet.
