I'm one of the MS gals. I've gone over two decades escaping the insanity that

the medicos

pass off as treatment, same goes for my cancer! The ones with the " God

Complexes " really

have a hard time with me!! Many others I've known with MS or cancer obeyed and

lost...

Between this list, the natural hrt list, Natural Cancer therpies websites, the

Autism-Mercury list,

the Defeat Autism Now descriptions of mercury/vaccine/viral/dysbiosis induced

autism, the prostate

benign hyperstrophy sites, I feel like I could get a graduate degree just

sitting in front of my

computer, lol! There are answers on the internet that our mothers and

grandmothers always

dreamed were " out there " but couldn't put their fingers. We have the Internet.

We have each

other. We have real hope.

Thank you for pointing out the abstract! I'm even more motivated to figure out

how to get help

or treat myself!

Multiple Sclerosis and thyroid

I'm not sure who posted a few days ago indicating that she had MS. I

am going to copy an abstract about thyroid hormone and MS. Basically

thyroid hormone is required for oligodendrocyte maturation and for

myelin repair. Also, it is very common for MS patients to be very

fatigued and often depressed. It is interesting that thyroid hormone

is required to alleviate these symptoms as well.

Another interesting point about thyroid disease and MS is that mercury

can damage the thyroid -but it is also a very powerful neurotoxin.

Chronic disabilities in multiple sclerosis are believed to be due to

neuron damage and degeneration, which follow remyelination failure.

Due to the presence of numerous oligodendrocyte precursors inside

demyelination plaques, one reason for demyelination failure could be

the inability of oligodendrocyte precursor cells to turn into

myelinating oligodendrocytes. In this study, we show that thyroid

hormone enhances and accelerates remyelination in an experimental

model of chronic demyelination, i.e., experimental allergic

encephalomyelitis in congenic female Dark Agouti rats immunized with

complete guinea pig spinal cord. Thyroid hormone, when administered

during the acute phase of the disease, increases expression of

platelet-derived growth factor alpha receptor, restores normal levels

of myelin basic protein mRNA and protein, and allows an early and

morphologically competent reassembly of myelin sheaths. Moreover,

thyroid hormone exerts a neuroprotective effect with respect to axonal

pathology.

Yes, I saw a reference to this somewhere, and I think I posted another

source on this. I keep saying that I think that autoimmune diseases are

basically the same thing, as there are many many types of autoantibodies,

and the differences to me are just the location of where the attack is

taking place in the body. I think that it will be discovered that the

thyroid is the central location for all of these, and that millions of

people simply are not being diagnosed or are told " you're thyroid is

normal " , when in fact it isn't.
