Guest guest
Thank you Cheryl and MM for you great welcomes. I think having a place like this is so helpful - very theraputic. I am doing okay this week. I get a shot of Methotrexate every wed. morning before school. It has help me feel normal (most of the time), I am also on Plaquanil - it has helped too. I am like you all - multi-promlems. Lupus, fiber myalsia, just last year found I have 1 40% blockage on an artery, hiatal hernia, IBS (for many years) I am on so many medicines that my poor liver wants to jump out of my body. My doctor is great - FINALLY. It took all of 5 years to hear I had nothing - my ANA finally took the leap up to 1:160 so that was a clencher. My fatique, muscle pain and weakness would take me down for a good 6 months, then I would be perfect for the other 6. So I was not an easy diagnosis. When I was up I could do anything. The medicine has taken the worst days and made them tolerable. When I said " I don't have time " I really just meant at the age of 37 with small children all under 13 I really don't want to give my time to an illness I want to share it with my kids. I am in school for Nursing - very hard right now, but only 4 semesters to go ..... YEAH I quess my life has endured this for 5 years so far and I am falling apart, BUT my faith that God can heal me is HUGE. Now I don't think I will be perfect but If my energy can stay up I will keep smiling. Sometimes hope for the smaller things like only a little pain today would be okay - help your move forward. What medications do most of you find helpful??????????? I really don't want to be on steriods - I am already in a huge battle with my weight. Every time I go down I gain 20-50 lbs. (due to no exercise) I am walking now. Any miricle vitamins that you can suggest?? Again - thanks for your warm welcome. Lupus stinks, but I will keep up the fight.
