Guest guest
Just notice this new group in Yahoo the other day and wanted to join. I'll tell you a little about my experience about breast cancer. My Mother, her Mother, then me, and her Sister 3yr's after me. So it runs pretty strong in my family. My Mother had a real tough time going through Chemo, Radiation and Cobalt all within the five year's of her life dealing with it. I was diagnosed early in Feb 2002 with High grade ductal carcinoma in-situ and had decided with double mastectomy and 14 lymph nodes removed with no cancer showing. I was lucky I never had to do any Chemo. The bad part for me was the resconstructive surg. I went through a total of 12 surgery's in a three year period, which was rough. It will be five year's without a recurrence this Feb. During this time I was dealing with an alcoholic that resented me not being able to work and would show up at the hospital drunk. I spent 10 years with him, glad I never married the idiot. I got so desperate 2 years ago losing my home and car and told him to leave. That was the best thing I every did! I met a wonderful man very shortly after that and got married. Don't let any one ever tell you that nobody will have you because of what has happened. He was dead wrong! I'm am so very happy now and have lots of hope for the future. I'm will be 57 in December and still look pretty as I'm told. That means the world to me knowing he love's me for who I am. Sorry this was so long winded, this is the first time I've been able to share this online. Best wishes to all and be strong.
