The strap on our Markell shoes began to fall apart too; the leather

was completely separated and only the vinyl part of the strap was

holding it together. We took them to the orthotist from whom we had

gotten them, and they replaced the strap while we waited (not very

long). You also might be able to contact Jay Markell through this

list or his website- I think he would be very helpful in providing a

replacement strap. Or maybe a local shoe repairperson could fix it

for you.
