Guest guest Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 I joined this group shortly after I was diagnosed with ILC at the end of October. Last Thurs. I had my pre-op at the hospital and this afternoon I have a final pre-op at the surgeon's before my surgery on Nov. 21st. I posted once before--I am 56 and have had MS for 40 years. When I first got my BC diagnosis I was feeling positive and that I could fght this. Over the past week or so my mood has gone straight downhill. One thing after another has happened. One of our disabled kids has pneumonia. I feel really guilty because I think I've been so focused on finding out info on BC that I missd his early synptoms. On top of that my wheelchair lift van is broken--it was in the shop all day Friday--and may not be fixable--just when I need it most. Today is the birthday of our beloved son-in-law--he died in 1996 and we all still miss him terribly. I'm sorry to complain but I am overwhelmed.. I can't eat and want to sleep all day and can't sleep at night. I have been fighting MS for so long, I just don't feel up to fighting anything anymore. Thanks so much for listening. Guest guest Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 I think we all feel like this at times. You have so much on your plate; you have a right to be overwhelmed. My son is only 4 and he managed to get himself kicked out of his second preschool last week. Then he got written up on the bus for hitting. Today we got a note from his other preschool and he hit and injured another child. sigh. What is this with sons? I think he is reacting to all the stress at home. Trouble is, I can't take care of him all day AND battle cancer. Some days I feel guilty about my illness affecting his life negatively but truly, cancer is not something that I asked for. Sending you lots of warm, fuzzy thoughts, Quote
