Hi List,

Here is my 10 yo ASD son's results from DDI. As far as I can tell, he does

not meet the counting rules but 4 of his greens are close to the yellow. I

would appreciate any comments and I have a few questions.

Do you think the lead is high enough to merit adding DMSA? We are going it

alone with ALA at the moment so that would mean finding a coopertive dr. Is

ALA totally ineffective on lead or just not as good?

He has more unders than overs in the essential elements part. Any of those

look like they need tweaking?

Some of the esential elements that were in the extremes were addressed in

the comments but not the sulfur in the yellow. Does this mean anything in

light of all the discussion about sulfur issues?

I don't recall seeing any post concerning the ratios at the bottom of the

data sheet. I know from keeping animals that some of these are very

important but don't hear much about them in humans. Also, the way the

results are presented seems a little confusing to me. Any comment?

Thanks for looking at this.

H.

I agree he has normal mineral transport based on the counting

rules.

it is in the green, so I would not think it is really a big

problem. Now, you might want to chelate anyway--- personally

I think lead is extremely yucky--- but the amount is low.

How high in the yellow are the arsenic and aluminum?

It might be worth addressing these.... ? Yellow zone

is still " quite common " -- but it may be enough to be

an issue? Hard to tell.

actually DMSA is available over the counter if you wish:

my impression is that it is not effective.

I don't know.

don't know. The test Andy recommends for sulfur is unfortunately

another test (plasma cysteine) --a blood test (yuck)

unclear if they mean anything useful. Not discussed here much.

please comment on what aspects are confusing-- I'm not sure if

I have any comment LOL.

good wishes,
