Guest guest
Hi Lucy, Yes to that one............. I have had some doozies of times with the sudden onset of pain in my knee....... the worst was the right one - I had the left resurfaced....... that one struck somewhat as you appear to be describing........sudden and very painful like someone had a sharp instrument poking into the area just below the knee joint....... It did go away within 24-36 hrs........ and I figured it was to do with extra stress learning of new walking patterns that something around the joint had taken offense too........ I don't remember having done anything extra each time so to speak. (I seem to remember about 2 events) I mostly swim for exercise which is supposed to be less of a hassle for joints........... The left one was sorest within about 3 months of the resurface - the right one's 'events' would have been around the 12 month time......... Both knees now seem a lot stronger - I have figured that the swimming is finally helping with some of these preexisting hassles........ both knee xrays show a bit of a mess cartledge wise........... but mine seemed outside the knee - you didn't say just where yours appeared to be coming from??? Hope that helps......... Edith LBHR Dr. L Walter Syd Aust 8/02 > > I had bilateral hip resurfacing on 20/08/03. The other Friday night I was > woken with agony in my left knee.
