Guest guest
A few of us have had success with this. When we were in Ghent, I asked the office manager for DeSmet (Hugo) about it. He said they would fill out a 1500 form (US gov't form) and send me copies of whatever bills were in. These came mid summer - ,my surgery was in May. I then submitted them to our insurance (Health Partners) and they ante-ed up 60%. I did not have prior approval nor any kind of referral to DeSmet. I really had not anticipated insurance help. And, yesterday I received a nice refund from DeSmet's office -766 some euros - don't know exactly what that is in dollars. There are some other hospital bills with this so I guess I'll submit these, too. Who knows? Besides being fixed, this is icing on the cake!
