Hi,

It is hard to have to struggle and work on different issues all the

time. It is exhausting...

There's many people who just can't relate to such things. I got my

diagnosis in 1997. Then I informed my dad, because he does have some

signs of EDS. He got really mad at me for suggesting that it maybe

came from his side of the family. After that day, he has not

mentioned it even once. He just doesn't. Doesn't even ask how it goes

with it... Nothing I can do about that, except to accept that that is

the way he handles such things. I can't change him, he's way too old

for that. And he is definately the type who doesn't want to talk

about such things, with one exception, when he got cancer himself a

few years ago... Then he got really scared, I guess, and did talk

about that for a while...

>That's one bad thing about all this. I have to deal with it myself.

>I'm not well, and so that makes it harder. I just want to sleep.

Hi again ,

It was just a few ideas. Sometimes that can be helpful in starting

your own processes...

Just know that you are entitled to demand that the school does things

to make it as easy on her as possible. And there are things that can

be done to make things a lot easier. I am a real " sucker " for

assistive/adaptive technology, because it is my experience that it

really makes your life quality a lot higher, it makes you able to do

things you wouldn't be able to do without the things and that makes

you feel so much better...

I can really understand how it must be awful for you to not know what

is going to happen now. And there is so much to relate to. Not easy

when you are sick yourself. But, remember that for your daughters, it

is a really good thing that you have it too, because you can

understand them in a way that nobody else can. That is worth a lot

when you are a young woman... The support you can give, makes such a

difference for your daughters...

I agree, she has to get her education. With EDS, it is even more

important to get good education. You have to make sure you can use

your head to earn money, not your body... And it is possible to get

good education even if you have health challenges. You just have to

figure out what can be done to make it possible...

I look forward to hearing how it goes.... :)

Hi,

This reminded me of a joke a comedian here told on TV many years

ago... I think it is really funny, but I hope it will not be

offending to anyone. I think it is just kind of cute...

" Todays's youth are like Jesus. They live home until they are 30 and

if they do anything, it is a miracle! "

I could not agree more. It is wonderful that most kids today don't

have to take such responsibilities at a young age...
