Guest guest
hi everybody! i really enjoy this ponseti forum. i am reading everything but not writing so much ( my english is not so good, as you can see *lol*) to be honest with you all i'm now asking you some questions for another clubfoot mum who thinks she is much more bad in english that i am *lol* she wonders if it is common for children with clubfoot to have problems with the hips also? her 6 months old daughter has recently been at a check up and the doctor thought it was some problems with the hips cause they were clicking and moved not as they should. she is now waiting for an orthopedic check up next week to see if there is any problems with the hips. does anyone here have any experience about problems with the hips combined with clubfoot? does anyone knowes if it's possible to combine the treatment of a hip problems and the dbb? and i've got a question for you too *lol* my son have very curved big toes. is anyone else having that too? i noticed it some days ago. the outermost part of the toes (the part with the nail on) is pointing straight up in the air when he stands on his feet. the rest of the toes are looking normal, besides they're pointing inwards, but as i know is that not so unusal and as long it's just the toes and not the hole forefoot should i not worry. so does anyone here have some experience of curved toes? please tell me if it is common and if i can do anything to straighten them? it looks like the tendon is too short so i use too bend/stretch the toes when the dbb is off. that was all for now and i hope you can understand some parts of my post ) plenty of big hugs from sweden! /veronica and wiggo 22/12/03, bcf, dbb 23/7 (and kajza with hanna 07/11/03, bcf, dbb 23/7)
