Guest guest
I just came home from the cardio, after a month on an event monitor, during which I had one brief (10 beats) of a fib.Doc never told me the monitor recorded all the time, I just thought when I had one, hit the button, so I had a few that I missed while I was driving and couldn't hit the button. Anyways, is there such a thing as a little afib? The doc says some people are more asymptomatic and notice afib more.He said some people can be in afib and not know it. Whew! God Bless them, because when I have those 10 beats, I'm starting to black out and I hate the dang feeling. I've had this thing as long as I can remember. I also have mild mvp and rbbb. This is the freakiest thing. I asked about magnesium, he wanted to check my blood tests to see if I was low in that. He said my heart sounded fine. What about this Noni juice stuff, any good? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Debbie
Guest guest
Debbie - there is apparently a whole world of people out there who do not feel their afib, and " discover " it by going to the doctor for some unrelated issue. Sometimes these people get a little short of breath, or feel a little more tired than usual, but thats all they feel (and they don't know why)! These silent fibbers are also in a much higher risk group for stroke until their afib is diagnosed and treated. And I think in terms of a little afib.. I think you either have it or you don't... you can certainly be prone to very short durations (lucky you) however.. that's certainly possible. Can you tell me about this monitor you wore? Did you take it off to shower? Is it big and bulky and all that? I've got a small monitor that I'm supposed to put on my skin when I feel an event, but sometimes I have these mini-events that come and go before I can even grab the monitor off the desk.. let alone get it under my shirt and onto my skin. I'm in a clinincal trial and after March 12 I have to show three documented afib events in order to qualify for a Cryoablation, so I'm wondering whether a full time monitor might be a better option for me. thanks, Stef ooopsgurl2000 wrote: I just came home from the cardio, after a month on an event monitor, during which I had one brief (10 beats) of a fib.Doc never told me the monitor recorded all the time, I just thought when I had one, hit the button, so I had a few that I missed while I was driving and couldn't hit the button. Guest guest
snip. > Anyways, is there such a thing as a little afib? I have had about three of these " little " episodes " 15-20 beats since July, when I had my last longer afib event of about four hours. I also swear by magnesium. I used to have many longer and more severe attacks before I started taking it. It took a good three months for it to relly kick in though. Good luck to you.
