Guest guest Posted January 9, 2004 Report Share Posted January 9, 2004 Having come home quite early I find myself thinking I've avoided the in-hospital/in-hotel recovery period with my fellow resurf patients; Sunita and Steve Vince (bilateral). You do make friends quickly in that phase, having shared the op and the first trembling efforts on crutches and the few indignities like catheterisation, etc. When I left Sunita was essaying her second walk on crutches and looking good; Steve Vince was nearing his first small step for mankind; great step for Steve.
