Sunday morning at 7:20am EST, got up with an asthma attack, made it to the restroom, where she began her nebulizer treatment. Called for help, to bring ice and fans and diabetes kit. After doing so, could tell she wasn't going to be able to handle it with what she had here at the house, so took phone to Dad who proceeded to call 911. By the time got back to , she was slumped against the wall, with no pulse and not breathing. He called out for me and together we were able to get her onto the floor and start CPR. Within 5 minutes the paramedics were at the house and took over CPR and attempted to get an IV going. Even after a couple doses of Atropine, they were unable to get a response. Within 15 minutes of the initial call to 911, she was headed to the hospital via ambulance, but neither they nor the ER staff were able to resuscitate her. She always wanted to go quickly, and never have to endure another stint on a ventilator, with a machine living her life for her. I honestly hope and believe that she was gone before we were able to start CPR on her.
