Guest guest
Dear Laxity, Arthrotec has an extra ingredient in it to keep the NSAID part from hurting the stomach, but this component may also give you loose stools. I would continue on the Prilosec and Lipitor. I don't know if the combination will hurt your liver or not. The best way to make sure is to ask your PCP to check your liver enzymes every 3-6 months to make sure. Personally I hate Nsaids, they do help with pain, but the gastric side effects are intolerable. Good Luck! S. Rx: Arthrotec anyone? Today my physiotherapist wrote me a rx for Arthrotec. Has anyone used this medication? He wrote it for the pain for the osteoarthritis - specifically for my thumbs; but didn¹t say if I should continue with the Prilosec for the GERD; or if it would interact with the Lipitor. On the site it says that the liver needs to be checked often for toxicity; which is what it also says for Lipitor. Will this up the odds of toxic liver? http://www.arthrotec.com/consumer/index1.html Thanks for any replies or thoughts. laxity@...
