Guest guest
Matt - I am glad that yu have a plan for dealing with your headaches. I was knocked off my feet with the worst one I have had for a very long time yesterday. Well the worst "long lasting" one that is. It is still hanging around. I hope the insurance doesn't give you a problem. That would be wonderful to have an actual Sarcoid support group that you could go to. How nice for you to get to meet people in person! With all these new members from Michigan we are getting maybe they could all arrange to meet up somewhere! Wouldn't that be wonderful for them? Take care Matt, I hope the Enbrel works out for the headaches Kim NSModerator

Guest guest
Matt, It certainly does look like things are looking up for you. I am happy for you. Lets hope that Enbrel helps those awful headaches. And the SSDI - I know how difficult it is to deal with them from personal experience - it sounds like you are getting some good help from them too. Consider yourself very lucky. Good luck with your treatment. Luv, Debbie Cohen wrote: --- NeuroSarcoid66@... wrote:> Matt - > > I am glad that yu have a plan for dealing with your > headaches. Guest guest
Hi Matt, Oh my, I sure hope your insurance DOES pay for this. I am seriously considering starting it myself ......or at least asking my Doctor about it. I don't know if my insurance would pay for it or not, but that would be the only way I could take it. I cannot afford to pay for it. Please keep us updated and I am sending lots of prayers and well wishes for you. Hugs, Darlene NS Co-Owner/Moderator Matt in seattle Hi- went and got by TB test read today-was neg so I went to get my first Enbrl shot- After i got the shot i went to the pharmacy to get the rest of my meds and was told that i was denied by my insurance to go on Enbrel. have been trying to get hold of my doc to see what the problem is. It seems that my docs office was told i was approved but the pharmacy said that they then turned me down, my doc is trying to figure out what the situation is, Some good news is that next tuesday i meet with the state social workers to go on the state SSDI plan. It should start by next month. Take Care,

Guest guest
I am kind of nervous right now- ive had this big lump under my left arm for the past several days and it keeps getting bigger and bigger. i showed it to my doc and he said to wait a week to see if it would go away- said it might by the sarc attacking my lymph nodes HI Matt, I know how unsettling it is with the lumps in the pits. I've got a wonderful trail of them down the lymph path of both arms and behind my legs. They feel like marbles all the time. Chances are very good that it is sarc in the lymphs. The Enbrel will help that. I imagine that with the 1st shot this week, that your body is thinking it's got to fight off the medication, and your lymph system is on overtime. Drink plenty of fluids, sun-tea is so good this time of year, and see if that helps flush your system. Also, with it being the beginning (we hope) of spring here on the West Coast, the spiders and bugs are partying. So a simple bug bite can start a lump also. It is important to check it out, and remember, if it's painful-- that's "good". It's that lymph swelling that makes it hurt. Tracie
Guest guest
Mine do this off and on all the time. This has gone on for approximately for two years. They will run the Ace test and the numbers are higher and then a few weeks later the lumps will go down and the numbers are down. It's just one of those lovely vicious cycles that is what it is and will be what it will be! I fine that I've let myself get a little run down more that usual and my stress level is overwhelming me. I just try to increase my nutrition and sleep because my stress is always for the most out of my control. As you know you have lymph nodes are everywhere, behind the ears and neck are another common area for me and the female area (odd but wanted to mention it for the women readers). Mine are very sore and it's very hard some days to put your arms down. Ice packs do help! Reduce your sodium intake and as I'm sure you are watching your calcium intake. Check with your MD for a diuretic. Green tea as well as lemon water will help in the meantime. Hope this helps! I am kind of nervous right now- ive had this big lump under my left arm for the past several days and it keeps getting bigger and bigger. i showed it to my doc and he said to wait a week to see if it would go away- said it might by the sarc attacking my lymph nodes or something else and that if it did not go away on its own w/i a week that they would have to do a biobcy of it. i keep telling myself it is most likly nothing major but everytime i look at it i get nervous. I do see the doc tomorrow so i am going to ask him to take another look at it to see what he thinks.Spent the day out at my moms on one of the islands off Seattle today which was nice. Did get my mind off of my arm. Really appreciate the support i get from others on this chat line. Take care matthew

Guest guest
Matt - Glad you have the Dr on top of this, I know something like this is nerve racking. Last year my son, the one who is 13 now, had several of his lymph nodes "blow up" all at once and stay that way for long period of time. Nothing brought them down for about 5 months time. It was really frightening to be honest. Of course you have the sarc. as a likely culprit, I hope it disappears or you get some answers from your dr at your appt. Keep us informed.
