Guest guest
After weighing all the input (and THANK YOU to all who responded!) I've decided I'm going to invest in myself. I'm going back to eTools (I downloaded the PDA program and I'm really excited to use it!) AND I'm going to continue going to brick and mortar meetings. I remember a few months ago when I missed two weeks of meetings...I gained weight. And the past two weeks, when I haven't had a chance to get to meetings, I've gained again. So I think that obvious pattern is a big hint that I need to go to meetings!! A couple people mentioned the accountability factor of meetings...and I think that is something I need. I talked to my family last night and re-explained that I need their support to get to meetings. If my hubby is working 14 hour days 6 days a week and my oldest son complains every time I want to go to a meeting that he has to babysit...well, that isn't a supportive situation for me to get to meetings. So after I explained what I needed and how I was feeling, they agreed to help me get to meetings. Maybe someone needs to hear this today...if you're not getting the support you need from family or friends, maybe sitting down with them and talking through it (again!) is going to help. I assumed a lot of things (they weren't being supportive, they weren't willing to help me, it would be tough to get them to help me, etc...) but when I sat down and talked with them I realized that my assumptions were wrong. Actually, my family thought I was doing really good and they didn't know that I needed their help! They didn't realize I've really been struggling the past two weeks. So last night's conversation was a time to " tweak " everyone's expectations and a chance for me to express my needs. All that to say...I'm going to make a way financially to do the eTools AND the meetings...because I'm worth it! in CO
