Guest guest
-I see the Endo tomorrow. -Here are my new labs. -I never knew to get tested for female hormones, until reading it on this list, so I requested those labs and do not know how to evaluate the results. -Premarin or similar stopped hot flashes cold after hysterectomy 15 years ago, until summer of 2003. I have had bad hot flashes ever since, although it's less noticeable in the winter. I stopped taking Premarin, and started taking Progesterone cream - no significant help. I've been using the cream for about 6 months. I'm on 4gr of TimeCap Thyroid. Ferritin OK, no anemia, B12 OK. Fatigue and aches and pains are my worst complaints. Temperature fluctuates, usually in the 97s. I did not take thyroid meds the morning of the labs. AST and ALT were high before , so retested. Now the AST is normal but ALT is 56, range 0-31. Progesterone 1.14 Post Menopausal <0.2 - 0.82 Estradiol 18 Post Menopausal <20 - 41 FSH 53 Post Menopausal 20-138 FT3 3.87 1.45 - 3.48 FT4 1.13 0.75 - 1.91 LH 27.2 Post Menopausal 15 - 62 WHAT IS THIS? TSH 0.01 0.20 - 6.00 DHEA 38 39 - 183 DHEA: I was on 25mg for months and still tested low, so doctor upped it to 50mg, and I am still low. Can anybody interpret this for me? Could this account for my fatigue, falling asleep 3 or 4 hours after I get up in the morning, and again midafternoon? I split the thyroid meds into 2 or 3 doses - does not seem to matter how I take it. I had the cortisol lab previously, and I think it was 10.3 . The doc said it's fine if it's 10 or over . I feel like I am getting weaker all the time. I have been to many specialists, but nobody can find anything wrong. I know the Endo will want to decrease the thyroid dose. I have been on 4gr for about 2 months. I ordered from Myrxforless and have a good supply. I was hoping the doc would give me a script. Fat chance. joan
