Hi Ramesh,

The Steenbeek brace is the lower cost brace made by the Dutch

physiotherapist who worked on the Uganda Project. It is much cheaper

for you to buy instead of importing Markell. Dr Ponseti showed us one

last year and told us that it was a very good shoe. The shoes are

permanently attached to the brace and they are made of soft brown

leather. The bar is very lightweight and designed to be 'thrown away'

when the shoes are too small.

I don't think that you have to worry about these shoes, I know they have

been used on many babies in Uganda and Malawi with good results. I

Hi All,

Any body knows about SteinDeak Brace ? Yesterday my

baby went for tenotomy. In the middle of the next

month, he has to put braces. Our Dr told me that, he

will order for SteinDeak Braces. Because i don't have

any idea about these braces. Can any body have any

idea about this ?

We have to import those shoes from USA. So i want to

know

your opinion and suggestions ?

Tenotomy: Yesterday July 22 ( in India)

Doctor: Local docotr whose name was suggested by Dr

Ponseti.

I will send the info on the Steenbeek brace to you now, let me know if

you get it. Maybe you can contact the people mentioned on it by email

(in Uganda) and see if they can help with supplying shoes to you direct

this time, they can ship to anywhere in the world, in US$.

Otherwise, sometimes Dr Pirani is travelling and doesn't always get his

email regularly, I'm sure that he will answer when he sees it.

Thaks for your information. But we have to import from

USA only. There is no other option for us. Our doctor

try to contact Dr Pirani. I am worrying how to arrage

these shoes. I am ready to import these but i don't

know whom to contact. Our doctor is also unable to

reach Dr Pirani. He already mailed to Dr Ponseti

regarding the contact number. Becuase every time our

doctor is importing through Dr Pirani.
