Guest guest
The Bran Muffin recipe I sent in, does anyone know how to make it lower in points as well.. I thought about maybe using one whole egg and somehow cutting some of the white flour, a little less raisins..any ideas here!!!! These were a good size muffin as well... but if they are this low in points then all is well I guess..now I'm talking to myself here..lol. ~~Kallie
Guest guest
Just from adding up the points you've given and dividing by 40, I calculate almost 3 points per muffin, however, that doesn't match the nutrition info you gave at the bottom of the recipe. If the nutrition info at the bottom is right, then you've got a good 1 point muffin there. Do to rounding, if you eat 2 of them, you might want to count it as 3 points, though. I'd be inclined to go with the nutrition info at the bottom rather than the total points for each ingredient . . . The recipe looks pretty lean. The only thing you could do to trim it would be to make more muffiins from the same batter. If you made 48 instead of 40, then you'd have 1 point muffins no matter how many you eat.
