Guest guest
Hi Jill i have been on Aromasin for about a year now and the joint pain isn't too bad. I think all of the AIs, femara, aromasin, faslodex and letrozole have some effects joint wise, pain and stiffness. But the good news for me is that the Aromasin is holding the cancer. I am stage IV with BC mets to the bone and was diagnosed in 2001. Aromasin seemed to keep me awake at night, in fact when I look back I am pretty sure all of those above have altered my sleep pattern ~ reducing it to 5-6 hours. I initially took Aromasin at night but then changed to the morning to see if the sleeping hours would improve and they did slightly but the biggest change was my poor apetite. Over the year I have lost over a stone in weight But at least I can get into all my clothes ~ this is OK if you need to lose some weight. I am 5' 4 " and weigh 9stones 5 (131lbs) and feel comfortable at the moment. No other side effects with it though but everyone reacts differently so you may find something else. Good luck with it. The reason I'm thinking of switching is the bone/joint pain I've experienced with Ariximidex. If anyone on the list has had experience with Aromasin, would you please let me know how you've done on it? Have you experienced side effects? Thanks, in advance, for any advice you might send my way. Jill
