Guest guest
This is a great idea! I've been trying to figure out how the heck I am going to pull this off with my 26 month old. I'm going to give this a try! > >Reply-To: nosurgery4clubfoot >To: nosurgery4clubfoot >Subject: Re: ,Having a hard time trying to make >footprints for the quilt >Date: Sat, 29 May 2004 03:55:12 -0000 > > >Thanks Daiga! Guest guest
Great suggestion Daiga!! You can use an ink pad if necessary, the prints just wont be as bright. I know it is quite challenging for many active little ones, mine included!! Take Care, Charity and Trenton (8-24-00) Re: ,Having a hard time trying to make footprints for the quilt Thanks Daiga! I will try putting Becky in her booster seat and see if that works. The thing is the minute the paint touches the bottom of her foot she is screaming bloody murder It could have more to do with the fact that she is 2 1/2 than the clubfoot though. LOL Thanks again! and Becky 2 1/2, bilateral clubfoot, corrected by Dr.P > > I am finding out that Becky does not like her feet touched > (besides > > taking shoes on and off. Guest guest
Daiga, Thanks for the advice, you're so practical! We tried yesterday (two adults) end result was that thought it was a great game, and all three of us and the kitchen floor were covered with paint. He has no problem with the paint on his feet, but he really wants to take part in the fun! And he's so strong that it was impossible to hold him down. We have about 8 pieces of paper with variations of smudged footprints and blobs of paint, nothing that can be used. We will make the second attempt today with your tips! and 24th Jan 2003 www.clubfoot.co.za Re: ,Having a hard time trying to make footprints for the quilt Here's what I did...might help someone who's having trouble! I put Owen in his highchair and gave him some 'munchies' to keep him occupied. I attached my sheet of paper to a clipboard so that I'd have a hard surface to get his prints. I used the liquid tempera paint (the kind most schools use) spread out on to a paper plate. After a few tries, I found that if you let it sit a bit, it starts to get 'sticky' as it dries out....that's when you want to use it! I used a broad paint brush to paint the foot...held it out 'to dry' for about a minute and then did the print. I had a little margarine tub filled with warm water and a wash cloth so that I could clean up his foot before I moved on to the next one. Hope this helps someone!
