baseball player with clubfoot

My husband is a big baseball fan(atic). He showed me a short blurb in this

weeks Sporting News about a pitcher for the Oakland Athletics, Jim Mecir,

who has clubfoot. This is what they had to say about it:

" Mecir was born with club feet that required surgeries before age 10, and

his right leg is an inch longer than his left. Plus, recent knee injuries

forced him to pitch with a brace. Teams often test him by bunting, but he's

a surprisingly good fielder. "
