Guest guest
Colonics do help with detoxing and since a lot of it is getting washed out through the colon, it probably doesn't have as much impact on the breastmilk as other methods-- I'm not saying this as " truth " , I'm saying it as " hypothetically " speaking--I'm just thinking that it probably wouldn't impact it as much. BUT I would still stock up on frozen breastmilkd before you do your colonic, and then pump and dump the milk you get for some time after the colonic. I honestly don't know how many days I would do it... when I had a colonic for the first time, I remember feeling very yucky for a few days afterwards, so I would give it a few days to a week of using the stockpiled frozen breastmilk. JMO! Also, epsom salt baths can be used on your son to help him move out toxins and give him some sulfate... and ojibwa tea of life may also be useful. A baby would need so little of it per day-- a quarter teaspoon to a half teaspoon or so-- that it would be very easy to give by mouth. Guest guest
> Colonics do help with detoxing IMO colonics help with DETOXING, as in detoxing the bowel of old junk --- but do not help with detoxing metals, as in getting stored mercury removed. good wishes, Moria
Guest guest
But doesn't the liver store metals and excrete them in the bile or am I not correct on that? Because the colon therapist that I used was able to stimulate a release of bile using acupoints during the colonic. So I guess I should clarify that when I said colonics, I meant those done with a colon therapist, not the kind where a person leaves the patient to control the water flow on their own. Guest guest
> But doesn't the liver store metals and excrete them in the bile or am > I not correct on that? I think the liver gets poisoned and has mercury in a higher concentration than most other body areas. I don't think of it as *storing* metals that are then excreted in bile, in the sort of " straightforward " way this would mean. > Because the colon therapist that I used was > able to stimulate a release of bile using acupoints during the > colonic. From things I've read I do think there are a number of ways to get bile to dump or 'be stimulated'. (I don't think it is limited to colonics or accupressure..........) As far as I have heard the term " colonic " used, it refers to a colonic done with a colonic machine by a therapist. Humm, I guess some people call colema boards " home colonics " . Anyway, to me " colonic " means the kind with an assistant and professional equipment. But I also expect one can do very well on one's own IF adequately persistent etc. I've never heard of one where someone leaves the patient to control water flow (although that also seems okay to me...., I've just never heard of that.) good wishes, Moria
