Hello. While I am not a veteran of surgery with Dr. De Smet, I have had my

hip resurfed. About 9 months ago. The reason I post, is that I am here

in St. Louis and if you'd like to chat with me about any questions you have

Hello to all,

Let me introduce myself. My name is and I have been

monitoring this website for about 6 weeks but have not posted until

now. I also am scheduled with Dr. De Smet on Feb. 3 for a rBhr

(going solo). I appreciate all the info. and support available on

this website, and I look forward to meeting my fellow surfacehippies

next week in Ghent. Before I depart for Belgium, however, I would

appreciate any other practical advice from recent Belgium grads

(especially those that have gone solo to Belgium) on what to

bring/not bring, where to go/not go etc. You can e-mail me directly
