Hi Jo

I find it truly amazing that an insurance co who has NEVER seen me

seems to know more about whats going on than my drs do as well. I

mean he has spent hrs with me, has examined me up and down, stuck

needles in me and followed the progression or lack thereof when it

comes to therapy. Suddenly cuz I'm going to be a long term cost its

time for me to start earning my keep. Geee.. I'd love to tell me how.

Tell me how to keep from having intense pain in my whole upper body,

tell me how to stay awake and alert, tell me how to improve my memory

and tell me how to stop using the pain meds and anti seizure meds and

still remain a normal productive person in society and tell me how to

do all this when you have denied me the right to a stress counselor!

My case manager has asked me to keep faith, I'm trying, really I am

but I'm like the little child who wants to pull a temper tantrum and

stomp her feet and say no no no! I'm honestly trying to stay positive

but it doesnt look like its going to be easy to get whats right for

me out of all of this!

Sigh..ok its a new day, with a new outlook to consider...thank you

for the listening ear!

Hugs

Oh I know this Dawn

I have to have alot of things signed..first and foremost that I cant

lift..gee I'll be a good aide when I cant even lift a freakin meal

tray huh? I can't boost, I cant restrain, I cant transfer..what they

heck do they want me to do..I'm useless to them doing mod duty..hell

pay me to be a bedmaker..I think I can do that..its not heavy just

repetitive lol and I'd probably be happier!

I'm going to consult a lawyer on this portion of my returning to work

because my employer while they have been patient, are real sneaky and

I dont want to be fired for not doing my job or refusing to do

something or god forbid a resident falls because I couldnt help

them..I REFUSE to have an incident report written on me because of

that!

Im rambling this morning..Im just in one of those moods I guess lol!

> I know how much you love your job, but please keep in mind that a

moderate duty job must mean the same exact salary and they cannot

force you to do things that you should not be doing. My lawyer went

over this with me the first time I met her, because she said that all

companies like to ignore the moderate or light duty work list and

then people get severly injured again!!

-- my IME is finally in

Ok..how lame is this? I had my IME done back on October 6th I believe it was and they are just getting the report back this week??!??Anyway, my case manager called me tonight and left me a message telling me that the Dr agreed that I did have RSD type 1 which she kept stressing this over and over again, so I looked it up..duh type 1 just says that no nerve injury is known, thats because they never ran an EMG on me. It doesnt change the diagnosis or anything like that but he feels that with aggressive PT and OT that I can be maintained...now, how about telling me something I am not aware of huh? Instead of denying me things how about doing what comes logical?Anyway, she wants to discuss with me on Monday about returning to work on a mod duty basis, kewl EXCEPT mod duty in my job is ridiculous and will cause alot of pissy attitudes since no one can "see" my injury and will assume that Im sucking things up! Mod duty means answering lights for elderly people who have little to no patience and will get up and do it themselves if not answered immediately, great so now we have incident reports against me. I absolutely refuse to take the blame for that at all! Also, I cant do restraints so I can never return to my floor which really bums me out as I miss my residents wah!I'm hoping that they take me off the floors entirely as it will never be something that I can improve on and eventually return to a normal routine. Oh well, this will be something to discuss...they need to live reality like I do.Anyway, thats the scoop peeps.HugsDonna

Donna,

Did the doctor give you any weight baring limitations, because mine has said not to pick up anything over 10 lbs. Which I do when Katelin comes over, and I always pay for it the next day. Which is what I am doing today I am in tremendous pain and I have over 200 emails to go through today, so I will do my best.
