Guest guest
They are pricey, but they are great shoes. I've had no problems with the pair we have here. They more comfortable and so much easier to use. s. Designs Hi all, it has been FOREVER since I posted last. My son Ethan was born over 20 months ago with a left club foot. The foot never needed surgery. Currently we are having an extremly hard time with Ethan in his shoes and he has a huge sore on the top of his non club foot. My Doctor recommended shoes from . Has anyone else ever used him? Did your child have a vast improvement wearing the new shoes? What about this goofy sore? I am going to post a picture if I can. Please I welcome any suggestions and opinions. Guest guest
We have the sandals for . Dr. Ponseti thought this brace would work the best for her small feet. He called her feet " elegant " She has had no problems with blisters or sores. I have not compared prices with the other brace but from what everyone says the sandals are more expensive. We paid $350 for her first brace and just got new shoes for $130. says that he is working on getting a billing code for the insurance companies. The nice part about the sandals is that they are cooler for the hot summer weather. We have been very pleased with the performance of the sandals. Hope Ethan's sore heals up soon!! Sorry I don't have any suggestions for that. Bridget 2/20/04 bl cf sandals 20/7 lifeinoz lifeinoz@...> wrote: Hi all, it has been FOREVER since I posted last. Guest guest
Have you recently gotten a pair of the new Markell shoes? They tend to cause a problem with sores on the tops of the feet. We don't tighten the shoes as much as we used to. I've also heard others who say they take the tongue out of the new shoes and that takes care of their problem. Guest guest
, I have no experience with the sandals but I do with the sores! The sore on the top of the foot is caused by the strap of the Markell shoes. To heal the sore, you may want to try a blister block bandaid or some other type of padding. When putting the shoes on, make sure that you pull the strap up so that it rests higher on the foot (above where the sore is) as you tighten the strap. This should alleviate the pressure on the sore. Good luck and keep us posted! Daiga and Owen, 02/04/03 Unilateral LCF, FAB 14/24 > Hi all, it has been FOREVER since I posted last. My son Ethan was > born over 20 months ago with a left club foot. Guest guest
, We have sores. My son is 9.5 months old. He has a " difficult case " of bilateral club foot. I am not too sure what that means other than we have been in and out of casts for 9 months (he is getting casts again tomorrow) and though two tenectomies. The last time we tried the Markell's my son had horrible red tender feet. In fact, touch made him scream and he would not pull to a standing position for about 3 weeks when his feet felt better (still had red sores). I really believe this was because the shoes were too small. I ended up demanding a new shoe size. I think it fits better, but his feet are still hurting him and he still gets red sores on his heels and on the top of his feet. Last week, I talked to the local brace shop and asked about the shoes. I was told I couldn't get them. (The wrong thing to say to me.) Anyway, I emailed and called and now my son is having shoes made! I am so excited. It is big expense, but I am expecting bigger results. Until the shoes come in, will be in casts. I can't give you much more information other than Mr. is a very nice and wonderful man. All you need to do is ask him and he'll make your little one a pair of custom fit shoes. I'll let you know how they are when we get them in.
