Guest guest
I actually got the best rates directly from the airline. If you book now, well in advance of your trip, you hould be able to as well. Do a web search for flights and dates, then check with the non-stop carriers individually, then if you like repeat with a travel agent. If you should have to change your return it will be easier thru an agent or direct with the airline. Tell the booking agent that you're going for hip surgery and ask for a wheelchair accessible seat and for wheelchair assistance going and especially on your return. By the way, great choice of surgeon, Texas girl! Good luck and best wishes, Dawn! -- In surfacehippy , " Dawn Speer " wrote: > I now have my surgery date for April 27 with Dr. De Smet YEAH!!!! Guest guest
Hello, I am scheduled with Dr.Desmet on April 28th. I am very excited and can't wait to get my life back to normal. I am a Firfighter/Paramedic in Colorado and want to be able to continue as such. What hip are you having done and how long have you been unable to have a normal life. What made you decide to go to Dr.Desmet. Did you have insurance problems too? I am waiting for my last appeal and then I am off to Belgium. Good luck Mike > > I now have my surgery date for April 27 with Dr. De Smet YEAH!!!! I > > am curious about booking my flight with Priceline or some other > > discount ticket service. Guest guest
Hey Mike- I know exactly the excitement you are feeling!! Perhaps we'll get to meet while we're there. I too can't wait to get my life back to normal. I have not been able to run for almost 3 years. I have not been able to ride a bike,do squats, get in/out of a car without pain, etc for 6 months, and now on crutches since Dec 1,2003. Only my right hip is involved. I chose Dr.De Smet after meeting a woman who also lives in Corpus Christi was featured in a newspaper article about hip resurfacing and followed by getting connected and educated at this site. I have not even tried yet to apply to my insurance. I am going to submit it though. Probably only to be denied. I was in Lake City last June; it was beautiful. Take good care, Dawn -- In surfacehippy , " bldrsurfer2003 " wrote: > Hello, > I am scheduled with Dr.Desmet on April 28th. I am very excited and > can't wait to get my life back to normal. Guest guest
Dawn You might try www.expedia .com It's an American site and I believe it has something to do with Bill Gates (Microsoft). The UK version is excellent. Rog scheduling flights > I now have my surgery date for April 27 with Dr. De Smet YEAH!!!!
