Hi, Sherry. I am 4 weeks post-op and my surgeon was Dr. Gross. I really

checked " things " out before I went with resurf and with Dr. Gross. He and his

staff (especially his assistant, Lee Webb) are totally wonderful. Warm,

approachable, responsive -- and Dr. Gross's skill is tops.

I have no joint pain, am crutching around with amazing acclarity, and my

incision is beautiful (he uses interior sutures which dissolve and

" steri-strips " on the surface. The incision sight will ultimately be a very

faint line. It's already thin and healed. At least, from what I can tell.

His office handles the insurance companies and WANT to take care of that part.

After you FedEx your films and paperwork, you'll get a call from Dr Gross. He

takes his time, is in no hurry to get off the phone, and he lowered my anxiety

level many degrees. I was in Lexington Medical Center and the staff was great.

The food wasn't bad, either.

I would recommend this surgeon and his team to anyone.

Gwen,

would you mind saying more about your knee surgery ? What did you have

done, and how did you decide that that was the right thing to do ?

What I'm really looking for is the equivalent of surfacehippy for

knees .. not for me, but for a friend who had a replacement patella

made from a bone graft from his hip, and 7 years later isn't having a

good time with it.
