Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have more exciting news to share about media coverage in South Africa, it seems like all the pestering of various media folk is finally paying off! I met with a researcher for a program earlier this year, unfortunately when it got to the final meeting the story was dropped. But he has since left that program and now works for our national broadcaster. Apparently he's still promoting our cause, because 's story and coverage on the Ponseti method in Africa are going to be broadcast on a TV interview! Apparently this program is also broadcast on satellite in two US cities. Below is an extract of the email he sent me... " Hi Glad you got back to me. I have chatted to my exec producer, Glenn Lewington, and we would like to interview you on one of our programmes called Africa This Week, which deals solely with Africa issues and is broadcast in Washington and Atlanta via Satellite and in SA on SABC contained inside our daily show called the World Today. We would need you to bring the Uganda VCR and then we could chat around those issues and make it into a health slot. I will have Glenn get hold of you - We would probably be looking at doing it in about 2 - 3 weeks after the holidays and elections (mid-May) Look forward to hearing from you " and 24th Jan 2003, bilateral cf www.clubfoot.co.za
