Guest guest Posted March 4, 2004 Report Share Posted March 4, 2004 hey Mike its Sue in Ca....and i am so happy for ou ...I am approaching my one year anniversary and have an appt for xrays and an a one yr.check...this will be the first time a doctor hs looked or xrayed my hip.. Very anxious about it...but mostly Ive forgotten it is there...I also have returned to all my activities..and am most grateful for all sufacehippies that encouraged and shared with me in the beginning...You were one of them ..Congratualtions on the ski trip Im impressed...now that would scare me a bit as well as the altitude...but am so happy for you!! Guest guest Posted March 5, 2004 Report Share Posted March 5, 2004 Hi Sue: Don't worry. if your hip feels good, it is good! I hope that you have chosen a physican familiar with resurfacing. If not, cancel your appointment and get your family Dr. to order Ap and true lateral views (X-rays) of your hip. Photograph them with a digital camera. Full and close up of the device. Email them to Dr. Desmet. for his opinion. You don't need an orthopedist unless you are having a problem. By the way, very few radiologists in the US have seen resurfacing devices and don't know what to look for. Best wishes.
