Guest guest
This Gail is doing CORE and liking it. I had a 3.5 pound loss my first week. I've never had a portion problem. My problem was always with making the wrong choices. I think Core will work with me. Guest guest
I like points, too, but core makes for a nice change. I haven't found portion control to be a problem because the core foods are not the ones I tend to want to overeat anyway and core does help me to eat healthily and to watch the sweets. I do find, however, that I get bored quickly of the core foods and then I have to eather alternate weeks with points or to give myself one " free " day per week while I'm on core so I don't have to worry about eating bread, etc. This is how my free days work: I save as many of the 35 points for the free day as possible. Usually, I have 30 saved. On the other days, I keep my points within my exercise points. In my first month doing this, I lost 5 pounds and 5 inches and 2% body fat. I am satisfied with that result. But, unlike points, I don't think I could sustain pure core plan for very long. I did points for 7 months with only one plateau. I have done core for 1 month and I think in a week or two, I will need a break. > > Since I just rejoined yesterday I'm wondering how many of you are > doing Core and if you like it. Guest guest
This is what my leader said about Core and she said if they knew she was saying it they'd fire her :-) but I was the only one there and she knows me from all the meetings before. She said if you did flex in the past and it worked than stick to flex. Core is good to use when you go on vacation or you finally hit a plateau using flex. She didn't care for core herself when ww made them try it out before introducing it to us. For me, I like the ww frozen meals for luch at work and the light bread as a filler with a peice of fruit. I also can't go the wheat pasta and I like wheat. Gail

Guest guest
that's wonderful!! Keep up the good work. I need to read up more on the core program, what I can eat and not eat, etc. The more people talk about it the better it sounds. Do you use your flex points at all for things like potatoes and pasta or do you just pass on that food group? Guest guest
Gail, Potatoes are CORE, but you have to count what you put on them! I am not a bread & pasta girl, so I don't miss them much, but if I am out, and have the occasional piece of bread, I count it. I generally try to spread my 35 points out over the week, and find I can easily stay satisfied with CORE plus MAYBE 5 points a day. Most days, I don't use any of those points. The one thing I miss on CORE is sushi, but it is so low in points, that I really can have it as often as I want. For that, I use my flex points. -Chris Core/Flex > > > > > Since I just rejoined yesterday I'm wondering how many of you are > doing Core and if you like it.
