Guest guest
I'd call Dr. Mosca and tell him what Dr. Ponseti has requested and see what he says. Dilema -> please help! Ok, so Dr. Ponseti and want me to remove Kai's cast as soon as the shoes arrive and take photos so they have them for their meeting (I think it is on Monday). Dr. Mosca, however, has asked that we leave the cast on until Wednesday so that he can see how Kai's foot looks immediately out of the cast. The immediate thought is to do as Dr. Ponseti asked as he and are working very hard on Kai's behalf to get things fixed. But at the same time, Dr. Mosca is the attending doctor, and I do trust him. If I did not, I would have take Kai back to Iowa in the first place when he relapsed the second time. I don't feel right going against Dr. Mosca's request. After all, he is the one who has done this casting, and Dr. Ponseti has not seen Kai's foot (other than photos) since September last. This is so hard! All of these people have Kai's best interest in mind and have taken time out of their schedules to talk about and help him. What would you do? Angel Kai 12/31/02 RCF, Plantaris Casted by Dr Mosca 3x + tenotomy Jan-Mar 03, Casted by Dr Ponseti 2x in September 03, Casted by Dr Mosca 4x over the last 8 weeks, GOING INTO MITCHELL SHOES YAY! Guest guest
Thanks. I did do that ... well, rather I told Dr Mosca's nurse, since they guard their darn doctors like they were made of gold. That was Dr Mosca's reply. However, I have no idea of knowing if he understood that Dr P and JM are needing photos for monday's meeting to make a long-term plan for the orthotics for kai. Guest guest
Well, Perhaps Dr. Mosca could do with photos that you take for Dr. Ponseti and ... You could take lots so he knows what it looked like. And I do know how those nurses protect their Dr's but perhaps this is a time when you need to talk with him directly... Guest guest
Angel, this is probably late but if I were in your shoes, I would call Dr. Mosca and explain your situation to him. Let him know that Dr. P and are having this meeting on Monday to discuss Kai's case and that they wanted to photos. Perhaps he can see you and Kai before Monday?
