Congrats to Zoe! Thank you for also putting such a detailed description in

regarding the reason she was realeased shortly after age 3. I think the Bye

Bye Night Night Shoe party sounds fabulous! Post some more details of your

party when you have a chance! My son was born 3-22-02, so is just a year

behind Zoe. The time does go by so fast!

CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS ZOE and Joanne! That is awesome news. I wonder if

sleeping with her shoes is going to take as much getting used to as

sleeping with them was (at the beginning)? You'll have to let us

know how the 'Party' goes!

Louisa,

Thanks for the best wishes... It didn't even occur to me to quit the list! I

would love to keep up with all the latest developments and possibly throw in

my 2 cents once in awhile... So those of you who were thinking you'd seen

the last of me, no chance!

He He! I am glad you are staying. We need to see the light at the end of

the tunnel- your success story is that light. My son will have to wear the

DBB for 4+ years so our tunnel is a little longer than some- but hey all

tunnels have a end. Thanks for sharing your story and glad to hear you are

not going anywhere!

Joanne,

I was nearly in tears reading this post I'm so thrilled. I know, it's

corny but I was just so happy for you and Zoe. And the cake... yes, a

sweet and wonderful way to say goodbye to them. Darbi has much the same

story - no tenotomy, feet the same size and the calf... well it's only

noticeable when you squeeze her leg and you can feel the muscle tone isn't

quite as good as the non CF calf. It's just fantastic that she's all

done. Congrats to both of you and thanks for the news. It really helps

those of us to know we're doing the right thing.

Hugs!

Congrats! It does go fast, doesn't it? will be 3 soon and he

got the DBB when he was 10 weeks old. I'll have to remember the

party with the cake and all, how cute! We'll have to do that.

Joanne,

It was nice to meet you at Dr. Herzenberg's office. Congratulations

to you, and Zoe, and to the rest of your family on Zoe's graduation

out of the shoes. My son just turned one, so we have a

while to go, but even that first year just flew by. My son's feet

were pretty twisted when he was born and it is just amazing to watch

him cruising around now and playing with his feet. I am so glad we

took a chance and drove the two hours to see him (Dr. Herzenberg),

rather than see a local doctor who didn't follow the protocol

exactly. Congratulations!
