Update on Armour

Hi All,

Haven't written in awhile, been busy. Hope everyone had a nice

Holiday. I received my Naturethroid 3 weeks ago and I'm up to 2

grains a day, taken twice a day. The only difference I've noticed is

I'm not as cold and the depression is better. I have noticed that my

face seems more bloated and I seem to be retaining water. Any

relation to the Armour? Should I keep upping my dosage till I get to

3 grains or wait a few weeks? I was also wondering if anyone else

has ever had dry white patches on their upper arms along with little

red bumps? Thanks!

Mel

us that are like that we can easily build up too much T4 in our blood

without getting enough T3 to actually make us feel well, even on

Armour. I have to take more T3 with my Armour. If I take 7 grains

Armour I have shakes and irritability and tiredness, if I take 6

grains I feel hypo. I tried 6.5 too and still did not feel well. SO I

dropped down to the 6 and added in some extra T3. This seems to work

best FOR ME. My last labs I was on 4.5 grains Armour. They showed a

Free T4 of (if I remember right,it's been a long time!) 1.9 and my

Free T3 was 225 with the range being 230 -460 I think. In other

words, while my Free T4 was in range, though low, my Free T3 was not

even in the range at all, which told me I needed more T3 than the

average person. So I increased the Armour first as my Free T4 was

still too low, but when that got where I felt I was taking too much,

I cut it back and still felt too low. Time to tweak the T3 & T4

individually and as mine was really low on the Free T3, that was the

end I chose to tweak. Hope this explains it.
