This reminds me that when I was taking ALA and DMPS (two separate

capsules), sometimes I felt a burning in my espohogas. I was wondering

if that was the ALA or the DMPS. I didn't mix either by myself. They

were compounded. Also, I usually felt this during a night time dose.

My child has complained about this and one time I gave him a Tums and it

went away so sounds like it causes reflux and/or burns on the way down. He

doesn't drink much water when he washes things down. By the way we are on

ALA only.

Hi! I just read in Dr. Weil's " Eight Weeks to Optimum Health " book

that a licorice extract called DGL (available at any health store) can be used

in

place of antacids -- it builds up the mucous coating of the stomach lining,

making it more resistant to the irritating effect of acid.

(I've been using that for several weeks and its GREAT!!)
