Guest guest
Holly, The Shoes are basically custom made per foot. They are not replacing the Markell Shoes (Jay's Funky Freestyle Trainers! LOL). They are intended for feet that are too small for the Markell shoes - or get blisters in them, or will not stay in them, or will not stay corrected in them. Unless there is some problem with Zach's foot that makes the Markell shoes impractical, you should still get them. And I must say, thank your stars for that! I saw the retail price for a full Ponseti Brace ( shoes and brace) on 's website and OMG they are $350 each + $35 S&H! did not charge us for Kai's brace - probably because it was the first " big " one he had made - so I had no clue they were this much *cringes* I definitely have to find a way to send SOME money. Angel Shoes/DBB I was wondering, and perhaps this has already been explained and I missed it, are the shoes taking the place of the DBB or are they being used for special circumstances? Zachary has been and continues to use the DBB. We have an appointment with Dr. Ponseti on the 16th of June, and I'm curious whether or not we should anticipate him prescribing the shoes for Zach? I'm sorry if this has already been discussed. Guest guest
Angel- Thanks for explaining that. We often tell people Zach is training for olympic snowboarding when they see him in his DBB (which isn't often now that he's 14/7) - 350 is pretty hefty that's for sure, but worth it to provide comfort for our little ones.
