Guest guest Posted July 23, 2004 Report Share Posted July 23, 2004 Do you think that, in general, good ol' lively walking is just as effective as aerobics class, swimming, or treadmills when it comes to overall fitness? Why? My Answer: I believe that any " moving " is good for us. I also believe that we need to do some differnt things to get the most out of our workouts. We need weights to help tone, stretching to protect from injury, etc. Walking is what got me started in the beginning and I will always use it for my " slower " days, but now I also need to pick up the pace and do the higher intensity workouts.
