Guest guest
RSD is an accepted reason to be approved for ssdi/ssi...unlike some other disorders like fibromyalgia. I got mine as stated on my approval letter for elhers-danlos syndrome and migraines. Even though I have fibro and arthritis you can not get ssdi/ssi based on those alone. Hope you had a great weekend...Hugs..Ginny Hi Ginny, good news, it is possible to get SSD with Fibromyalgia alone. The criteria for obtaining benefits is as follows: Must have severe medical condition resulting in an inability to work at the SGA level and condition must last 12 calendar months. Anyone that meets this definition regardless of particular impairment will be approved for benefits. This was copied directly from a SS website. Also in my reading it was stressed that anyone with a chronic pain condition that has not had some kind of treatment for depression is considered highly suspect. It also stated that regular and frequent doctor visits are a must. Compliance with the doctors treatments and meds are crucial. I was just surfing around and for anyone who is trying to get benefits there is a plethora of information and tips for obtaining benefits. The website I got this info from is disabilitysecrets.com and I would recommend it to anyone trying to get SSD. Even if you aren't it was quite interesting. I hope this has helped someone. Take care, Love Jai
