Mark~~ I have finally come to the *conclusion* that I must deal with the chronic pain the best I can, meds, meditation, what ever it takes and some days it just simply doesn't work ... I have also come to the conclusion that (for me) I will NOT " get my old life back " . Oh my, flying by on my jetski with no worries, physically fit ... beating the socks off anyone who dares to take me on for a race! Water-skiing at dawn in the calm of the lake ... making the first marks in the water... Ahh! But... I have not stood or sat on my skis in over 4 years. How I long to have that back. But the reality I will defiantly never water ski again and surly will not race my jetski but .... I could probably still go to the river and toot around on my sit down ski and at the Lake I can drive the boat for a bit and be a passenger till my joints loosen completely. I know that I have a God given purpose here. Thought it was my work... NOT! So I am on a journey to find out what that purpose is... Taking all that I learned and know from my work and apply it in lay terms? ... not sure. What I am sure is it is NOT my old life ... it is my NEW life. Hope this helps.
