Guest guest
Hello my dear, Your story rings quite a large bell with me. I have had the same experience numerous times. When I asked my doctor about why I was bleeding in between periods for a day or two at a time with seignificant pain, he told me it was the fibroids. I had numerous submucosal fibroids that would be aggrivated by my movements. Many of them were pedunculated so if I were to go for a jog, be on my feet all day, lift a heavy object, or do something strenuous to my body, the fibroids would be affected. Even though I was taking continuous bc pills, I had breakthrough bleeding like you very often, almost every day. The fibroids would bleed and cause pain when my body was under physical stress, some of the blood would pool and get trapped between the fibroids. It would eventually be released later in the form of clots, sometimes days later. Even having intercourse would cause this pain and bleeding. Not fun. I'm sorry I cannot give you a medical description of why this happens. But know that you are not experiencing something unusual. Large fibroids cause pain and will bleed unexpectedly. Physical activity affects them as well as wearing tight, unforgiving clothing such as tight jeans or nylons. I got to the point of wearing pads every day for many years. Let me tell you, I had had enough. Do call and ask your RN or doctor if they can suggest what to do about it. Unlike you, my periods always came right on schedule when I wasn't taking the pill continuously. So since you are having periods at odd times, you may want to ask your doctor about that. It could be an ovary symptom. i hope some of the other ladies here can be of more help to you. Blessings, Sonja
