Guest guest
Hi Sue, I went off of the liquid diet today. I had cream of wheat for breakfast in the hospital. They actually brought me coffee which I think is strange since I believe the caffeine can conribute to fibroids so I had herbal mint tea instead. I did have some pain especially when trying to stand or sit up but had the morphine pump until last night another drug that was called torphol (or something like that). Another thing I noticed was yesterday at the hospital I had a room full of visitors and didn't want to get up and go to the bathroom and I let my bladder get too full and then it was alot harder to stand up since the full bladder was probably pressing on my stitches....very painful! I left the hospital after breakfast and was give a prescription of vicuprofin by my doc. I walked up stairs with a pillow against my abdomen and actually feel really good. My tummy feels swollen but I feel better already knowing the fibroids are gone. It feels good to have the operation behind me and I was really struggling with wanting to treat the fibroids naturally but was too exhausted/anemic and uncomfortable due to pressure on my bladder so I now feel like I need to take complete responsibility for my nutritional and attitudinial/stress, etc. that could contribute to regrowth. I am going to try to take it easy for the next couple of weeks and just concentrate on healing. Feel free to ask anymore questions if I can help! Guest guest
I had read on one of the myo reports that doing this may help with pain after surgery since the nerves that are cut during the incision have " memory " and that a local there may lessen pain and could help with healing. I talked to my docs about it and they did it. I was in a fair amount (the morphine pump in the hospital worked really well though) of pain but just had my abdom myo Wed and I did not feel the need for pain pills yet today. I am moving around, walking but being careful not to do too much. I still have to be careful to use my arm and leg muscles when getting up or sitting/lying down. It will really help you. Try to plan short walking routines several times a day. I remember I just paced around the house for a minute or 2 at a time.
